What Does a Buyer's Agent Do

Updated: Mar 31, 2020

This is a great question to ask as a home buyer, you want to understand what our obligation is to you.

During this process your buyers agent will act as an adviser. We will help you understand the current market conditions and what you are getting in to. You want to make sure that your comps are up to date so that you are always submitting your best offer.

Your agent will handle the ins and outs of your negotiation, they will make sure that they are an advocate for your terms. If you want a certain issue fixed by the seller before close or more money towards closing costs that is something that would be negotiated.

Your agent will help you find the perfect home that matches your criteria. In order to find the right home you should be open and transparent in what your must haves and would be nice items are. Your agent will show you homes around your schedule and help you find the right one!

When it comes to referrals for third party resources i.e lenders, inspectors. etc. Your agent will put you in touch with the right people for the job! Having an agent with a wide network will help your transaction go smoothly.

It is also good to know that the services provided by your agent is free to you! The seller pays for both agents commissions, so you are being represented without cost to you.

As a buyers agent we will advocate for you the entire deal, let us make this simple :)
